Create Employee Master Record in Create Sales Order

     Create Employee Master Record in Create Sales Order: I have been having this issue with creating a Sales Order from SAP Fiori (Transactional) Application; the ‘Select Customer’ menu populates nothing and therefore i am not able to proceed further on creating an order. Hence, i have drilled down to the solution on how to have this list populated thereby allowing me to proceed ahead. Being a technical person, i may have missed a point or two while doing this functional activity. So i request you all to correct me at places where you think something is out of place. Thanks.

  • The stock Create Sales Order App looks exactly as shown below after having done the pre-requisites of activating all the required Gateway Services.

  • As we can see, the ‘Change Customer’ list is empty. To set this up through configuration, we shall follow the below mentioned steps. We will split this process into two steps – a & b.
    1. Create an employee for a particular sales area which will generate a personnel number and then assign it to a particular user in SAP.
    2. Add a partner function in customer master as Sales Employee and associate with it the personnel number we just created.

i.) We navigate to Transaction Code – PA40 and select the ‘Hiring’ Row.

ii.) Enter the From Date  and click on Execute.

 

iii.) So we will be navigated to the below shown screen within the GUI. Here, we will select the – Position of the Employee in the organization.

 

iv.) And the Reason for Action.

v.) Next, we need to assign a Personnel Area (IN06 over here).

vi.) And then further we need to add an Employee subgroup, (say) N3 over here.

vii.) Finally, Save it to create the record for an Employee (Personnel).

viii.) We can then check the data we just entered by entering the change mode and adding additional data by clicking on Next Page. Be sure to hit the ‘Save’ button at each step to avoid losing any data.

ix.) Next we will navigate to Transaction PA30 and select the Infotype as ‘Communication’ and Subtype for Infotype as ‘0001’ – System user name (SY-UNAME) as shown below.

 

x.) Further we enter the User Name (in this case DEV 4) and click on Save.

 

 

b.)   Add a partner function in customer master as Sales Employee and associate with it the personnel number we just created.

i.) For this, it is advised that we have clarity as to which Customer Number should be assigned against which sales employee previously. Here i am assigning say Customer Number ‘1’ against Sales Employee ‘7’. If the customer is not created, it can be done by navigating to Transaction Code – XD01.

ii.) Now that i already have a customer created, i will change the customer details by going to T Code – XD02 and entering the customer number to be changed.

 

iii.) Once we are navigated to the main screen, we click on ‘Sales Area Data‘ as shown below.

 

iv.) Then, under the ‘Partner Functions‘ Tab, we add another entry for the Partner Function ‘SE‘ (Sales Employee) and save it after entering the Personnel Number. (here personnel number 7).

 

v.) We are done, we can then navigate to the launchpad and re-login to find that the ‘Change Customer‘ screen is now showing data.

 

We can now successfully proceed upon creating a sales order through Fiori – Create Sales Order App.
