SAP Analytics Presentation Notre Dame MBA Business Intelligence Classes
On Monday of this week I had the opportunity to present to two different segments of the Business Intelligence class offered to MBA students in the Mendoza College of Business at the University of Notre Dame. The professor asked me to be a guest speaker and share the SAP perspective on analytics and business intelligence. There were several excellent questions from the students and we had a good discussion about business information and decision making. In particular we had an engaging dialogue about business ethics in the age of exploding personalized information.
My presentation included some of our latest material on SAP Cloud for Analytics, SAP Predictive Analytics and the SAP Digital Boardroom to illustrate the state of the art and demonstrate business intelligence in action. There are some excellent videos and demonstrations available to us that help students see the power of modern analytics and inspire them to learn more.

The Business Intelligence class is described as follows: This course will cover several techniques needed to capitalize on the unprecedented availability of information and to meet the growing demand for better and faster decision support from such information. This course material will provide an understanding of various methods used to extract knowledge from data, such as data mining, as well as with important tools to improve managerial decision-making. Cases from finance, management, marketing, and operations will be used as illustrations.
