University Alliances Professors Meet with SAP Leadership, Bangalore: SAP University Alliances works actively to increase engagement between our esteemed professors and leadership at SAP. Such engagements are also the best place to showcase the latest innovations, upcoming trends and practices within the industry. These interactions help identify and bridge the gap between curriculum and the industry demand. In line with this ideology SAP University alliances organized a special event “SAP University Alliances Professors Meet with SAP Leadership“ at SAP Labs, Bangalore on 18 November 2014. 30 Professors from 21 institutes across India participated in the event.
The event was carefully planned to be relevant and of much use to our UA Professors. The agenda included various topics like SAP HANA Cloud Platform, openSAP, Innovation at SAP, Rapid Deployment Solutions, Knowledge Transfer & Enablement, Future of Work and Big Data and topics under SAP University Alliances – Learn, Apply, Share, Recruit, Empower and Impact with special focus on SAP Mile – Crowdsourcing and HANA Cloud
Platform Student Center.
There was heavy engagement between UA faculties and the top leadership at SAP. Gerhard Oswald, Head of Scale, Quality and Support Board Area, Member of the Executive Board and Global Managing Board of SAP SE addressed the professors with an inspiring speech. Stefan Ries, CHRO and Member of the Global Managing Board, SAP SE provoked many thoughts during his session on titled “Future of Work” which was well complimented by Bhuvan Naik, Vice President Human Resources – SAP India who emphasized on the importance of understanding how the millennial generation works.
Srikanth Gopalakrishnan,Vice President, Application Innovation Group at SAP Labs spoke to the audience about Innovation at SAP and invited professors to be part of the journey and quoted that “we succeed when the ecosystem succeeds”. Paresh Mishra, Cloud Innovation Lead – APJ, SAP Services, talked passionately about topics such as OpenSAP, & SAP HANA Cloud Platform, Rapid Deployment Solutions, Knowledge Transfer& Enablement. He was followed by James Michael Amulu, SAP HANA Platform Product Management & Customer Engagement, APJ who further talked about SAP HANA as an Innovation Platform. Both Paresh and James answered many queries posted by the professors.
Ravi Natrajan, Chief Architect, SAP Labs India, talked about “The Human Face of Big Data”, along with some amazing statistics and applications of Internet of Things. Rohit Tripathi, Vice President, Head of Solutions, Strategy and Go to Market SAP Mobile Services talked about Big Data driven Customer Insights and was joined by Sethu M, President, SAP Mobile Services, who engaged the professors in deep conversation. Arun Prasad, CEO & President of 1-Enterprise talked about how the SAP Start Up focus program helped him become a successful startup and urged the professors to encourage students to become entrepreneurs.
The UA team focused on topics such as SAP Mile – Crowdsourcing Projects presented by Vidyasagar Reddy and The HANA Cloud Platform Student Center making announcements such about the Demo Jam for students on HCP and the 2 ambassador programs such as The Student Ambassador for SAP Entrepreneurship Program for 2015 and The Student Ambassador for SAP HANA Cloud Platform 2015.
