The Executive Briefing Center from Walldorf is piloting the Arrival Guide, a solution created at our Labs. The Arrival Guide has the purpose to help Multi-National companies that receive foreign guests that usually endured a long and tiresome trip, and when they arrive at the airport, face several situations in a complete different place, culture and language.

This solution started to be developed two years ago with interns from UFRGS University, who were participating on a summer internship program at SAP. Their job was to apply Design Thinking techniques with colleagues traveling to our Labs and from here to other locations. At the end of the project, they validated a prototype. Later on, when Labs LA had its Grand Opening, with the arrive of workers from many countries, Michael Depner came up with the idea to apply the solution to these people.

After this first version was tested, they were sure that it would solve real problems for users. Later on, with a considerable number of “after-hours” shifts from engaged employees and students, and thanks to two sponsors, productization was started. Last December, another version with still a limited number of features was completed.

This last version is the one Walldorf’s EBC will be using integrade with Employee Center (Success Factors) that is also being developed.

“There is still a long and winding road ahead, but we are proud that we are building a solution from scratch that help our users in a simple and intuitive way. As a vision, we believe the solution has true market potential and will be successfully sold to customers who care for their employees when traveling abroad”, said Michael Depner.

Congratulations to everyone involved on the development of this solution!
