TREX Settings and Import process CW34/2016

Hello Everyone,

TREX Settings and Import process CW34/2016: Recently we have released few notes related to TREX settings. There is a script that you can use to check that TREX conforms to these recommendations; this is attached to the note 2227741 – TREX 710: check of the TREX settings for the Enterprise/embedded Search scenario

You have to execute script check_esh.py. For further help how to execute this script, you can check KBA 2344042.

You can refer to this document in SCN for additional information on TREX setup for the Enterprise Search scenario.

Two important notes 2225294 and 2225542 for Software Component import should be implemented in your system to avoid known issues if a defective software component stack is determined during posting.

Finally the last note I want to share with you is note 2320652 – Task list SAP_ESH_INITIAL_SETUP_000_CLIENT: Import failed – category: …

which solves a specific error “Import failed – category: EAM_ORDNTF_OBJECTS in the software component: SAP_APPL”.
