SAP Solution Manager Installation with Sybase ASE on Linux

SAP Solution Manager Installation with Sybase ASE on Linux: I have installed test system SAP Solution Manager Installation with Sybase ASE on Linux. Please find the procedure I followed:

Filesystems:

 

Installation with SWPM

Invoke sapinst

Select product –> SAP Solution Manager 7.1 SR 1 –> SAP Sybase ASE –> Central System –> Central System

 

 

Select Software Units Solution Manager AS ABAP and AS Java

Provide path of SWPM Installation kernel

 

 

 

 

Correct the pre-requisite checker errors before proceeding

Added below parameters in /etc/security/limits.conf file at Unix level using root user

Provide path of SAP Sybase ASE database

 

Provide path of Solution Manager Installation export 1/2

 

Provide path of Solution Manager Installation export 2/2

 

Don’t edit default paths

 

Provide path of Java components export

 

Select configure local SLD incase of Solution Manager is Central SLD

 

Enter the Diagnostic Agent SID. Default value is DAA

 

I have selected “No SLD destination” as SLD registration will be done manually along with Post-activities steps.

 

Review the summary and Proceed with Installation

 

Errors faced during Installation:

CJS-00030  Assertion failed: Resource setting ‘max memory size’ is incorrect; refer to the installation documentation to solve this.

Solution:

Add below entries in file /etc/sysctl.conf

Upgraded kernel with latest patch levels
