We are happy to announce a new version of SAP Hybris Commerce integration rapid-deployment solution. Among other integration scenarios, this version supports you to set up a best-of-breed omni-channel buying experience provided by the SAP Hybris Commerce with pre-configured integration to your SAP Merchandising for Retail backend (also known as ERP Retail, IS-Retail).

You might remember, in the first version of this integration scenario, we introduced the replication of classification data based on Merchandise Category Hierarchy, single articles and generic articles with variants from the SAP Merchandising for Retail to SAP Hybris Commerce. In this updated version we added also the replication of structured articles to include for example sales sets in the B2C web shop.

In addition the RDS was updated to run on SAP Hybris Commerce Version 6.0 and SAP Hybris Commerce, integration package for Retail 2.0.

Let me summarize the scope of this retail specific scope item, called

B2C Commerce – Asynchr. Order Management with Asynchr. Pricing for Retail.

In your web shop as the most important digital commerce channel, customers expect first-class buying experience with excellent response times. At the same time, your organizations want to have product data available in all channels in a consistent way without double maintenance.

Figure 1 Process Steps

In the Retail B2C scenario for asynchronous order management, article data, prices, discounts and stock information are downloaded asynchronously from SAP Merchandising for Retail to SAP Hybris Commerce. The replication of article master data covers single articles, generic articles including variants, structured articles like sales sets and classification data based on merchandise category hierarchy. This automated data replication reduces costs and inconsistencies. Orders are created and stored in SAP Hybris Commerce before they are replicated to SAP Merchandising for Retail for order fulfillment. The fulfillment status is replicated back from SAP Merchandising for Retail to SAP Hybris Commerce. The asynchronous data transfer ensures the best possible response times for end users, with the SAP Hybris Commerce staying completely independent of SAP Merchandising for Retail and its availability with regard to data persistency and business processes.

With the integration of the generic article and its variants into the web shop, the customer can choose for example a shirt and pick the color and size. The definition of available colors and sizes is done in the SAP Merchandising for Retail backend. The corresponding price and stock information is also replicated from the backend.

The integration of the structured article allows you to combine different articles for example into a sales set. In the web shop the customer can only buy the set as a whole. A new view “products included” is introduced in the web shop to show which articles in which quantities are available in the set. Also here the definition of the structured article is done in the SAP Merchandising for Retail backend.

To integrate SAP Merchandising for Retail with SAP Hybris commerce, the SAP Hybris Commerce, integration package for Retail 2.0 is used. This Add-On allows quicker setup and less costly implementation of projects by e.g. supporting the
